Vibrating Razors: What they do to the skin
A lot of people ask me if there is really a difference between disposable razors and their more expensive counterparts, such as vibrating razors. Vibrating razors contain a tiny motor inside their handles. As the motor oscillates, it creates tiny pulses of the razor. When you shave with a vibrating razor, you feel a gentle “buzzing” on the skin.
Micropulses from vibrating razors have been shown to reduce the drag of a razor against the skin. With less friction, the user may take lighter strokes with the razor. In shaving, a razor actually removes a thin layer of dead cells on the surface of the skin. Lighter strokes could potentially result in less trauma to the skin surface and a more smooth shave than disposable, non-vibrating razors.
