The Gym and Your Skin
After exercising, sweat, dirt and oil left on the skin can clog your pores and lead to pimples. Shower and wash off with soap right after working out to prevent breakouts -- especially if you like to shave at the gym.
Shaving a dirty face without washing can lead to problems such as skin infections because of bacteria on the skin. This also applies to shaving your chest, back, or scalp -- not just your face.
After you work out, take a hot shower to help soften up your stubble so the razor will cut hair more easily and smoothly. Make sure you use a moisturizing after shave cream to prevent irritation.
Most importantly, make sure that you aren't sharing your razor, because you can spread bacteria to other people through your razor.
